kidney disease

Uremia (uraemia) is a term used to loosely describe the terminal stage of kidney failure (also called renal failure), in particular the nitrogenous waste products associated with the failure of this organ.

Chronic kidney failure refers to a series of clinical syndrome including a set of symptoms and disorders caused by irreversible decline in kidney failure which is caused by various kinds of kidney diseases. When chronic kidney failure enters the terminal stage, it is usually referred as Uremia.

Uremia is not an individual disease. It is a clinical syndrome which is shared by a variety of terminal-staged kidney diseases. That is, uremia is a syndrome constituted of a series of clinical symptoms as a result of kidney failure developing into terminal stage.

Uremia could trigger some life-threatening complications. If proper treatments are not applied timely, patients with uremia are likely to be killed by some complications.
